Coose: Survival

Day 1

(WIP)

The following is not storytelling, it was all roleplayed on my discord server.

A pod breaks into a field. The door dangles open, creaking into the wind of an unfamiliar world. A man steps out of the pod.

Opening Scene

Shaken up and completely confused, he stares out into the world, taking in the pleasant sounds, the charry smell, and the blanket of light shining down on his face. He turns back toward the crash, looking into the darkness of the capsule. It was burnt and and rugged. An uncomfortable place, even to look down into. But he couldn't stop looking. He took a moment just to study the capsule.

Though it was mostly empty, it seemed the impact was so hard, that a few pieces of the pod broke off onto the floor. He picked them up and studied them. he looked down toward his grey shorts, and used the pockets he noticed to hold a piece of metal. Trying to put the other piece in there, he fumbled it and it pierced the skin of his thumb. He raised it back up in reflex, and looked for its sharp edge, running his index over its ridges.

Just as he inspected this metal, he would hear an alarming woosh from above. He looked up at another pod, whizzing toward the ground at a chaotic speed. he stumbled out the way and braced for impact before a cloud of dust reached for his face. He wiped it away and noticed a capsule the same as his, and another person staring back at him.

Opening Scene

"Hey." She said.

"Hi. Uhh, who are you?"

"I'm Julia."
"Any idea where the fuck we are?"

Opening Scene

They both stare around the horizon as if someone would answer their question, Until the man breaks the silence:

"So, we landed in crazy ass pods, we have no idea why or where we are. We're in the middle of nowhere, and we need food and shelter."

"Yeah."
Julia replies: "I guess we just, walk on through the forest until we find something?"

"I guess so."

The two set off into the nearest tree line. Step after step into unfamiliarity, until the cooling shade darkened their faces. As they strolled into the shade, Julia asked for the man's name. His name was Quentin. They gave each other a more formal agreement and kept moving. The leaves rustled above them, and a few flocks flew through their sky, until Quentin saw a peculiar bush. It looked to have some kind of berries on it.
