Coose: Survival

Recently I made a discord server for writing Choose Your Own Adventures, stories, RPG's, and any other kind of text-based gaming my friends and I have always wanted to do. And so far, it's been pretty fun. I've seen a bunch of minigames and stories of all different genres grow. But one project of mine has been my best and arguably the most successful piece on the server yet.

Opening Scene

In this game, you start off falling from the sky in a metal pod, knowing absolutely nothing but your name, the skills you have, and the language spoken in the game. ANY other detail is found out by playing the game. People can fall out of the sky at any given moment (usually the moment someone joins), just as you did. Details get added as the people progress in the game, so not even I know how the story is going to play out. It's really interesting for me, because I've never been the type of guy to be into stuff like DnD. I always stayed away from that stuff cause I thought it was a bit nerdy, but now I see the potential with the system that they created, and to be honest it's really fun just crafting a world with your buddies and seeing what will happen. It's like the adult version of playing pretend.

Opening Scene

In this game, I use pawns in my Graphic Designer to make scenes for the game, using assets and pawns from this website. It gives it this charm of both a board game and an abstract, minecraft-y kind of theme.

So far, the game has only gone an entire day. I'll make blogs in this category dedicated to keeping the story updated.
